Church Audio Upgrade

Problem: Audio coverage and ease of use of the existing system

Location: Box Hill, Melbourne

Solution

Installation of a disturbed audio system to provide complete audio coverage for all parishioners and an interface control panel that did not require a sound engineer to operate.
To achieve the brief the final design included the installed of 2 x CS420 sound column speakers to the front of house locations, 2 x CS210 sound column speakers to the mid of house locations, providing even distribution throughout the entire church, the installation of 1 x AMD200 Digital Signal Processor (DSP) Amplifier and 2 x ICON-CPW interface control panels which allows the operator to control remotely the volume of up to 10 x different audio inputs into the system.
To add to the churches existing wireless microphones we install 1 x Sennheiser EW122G3-1G8 wireless lapel microphone system with up to 100 channels to select from. In addition to the main system 2 x CS210 sound column speakers were also install into the foyer area to allow for when the church has larger attendance. CS420 Sound Columns

The brief for the works was to provide a simple turn key solutions that would allow an array of individuals internal and external to operate the system.
Our solution was to install Crestron control equipment to provide a simple touch screen interface between the presenters and the Sony Bravia 65” screens in each of the five rooms, as well as the ability to broadcast the projected image and audio to additional rooms

Solution

Replaced projector with new Epson EB-955w projector

As with all electronic components’ projectors do have a set life span depending on the use and environment, they are operating in. If used in a standard application, you would except the projector to last between 3-6 years if serviced annually.

When replacing a standard throw projector, you need to keep in mind the throw distance (projector to screen distance) and which side the projector lens is on. The replacement units’ inputs should always match the existing unit.

Problem: Client required to project an image on a larger scaler in a confined area

Location: Collingwood, Melbourne

Solution

Installation of an Epson EB-685w ultra short throw projector with screen and audio.

With workspaces being more confined the use of an ultra-short throw projector with a low gloss whiteboard provides both large screen projection with minimum impact on the space, along with the addition of speakers that assists with the video or presentation being projection.

To achieve the best image result when using an ultrashort throw projector, it is important to use a screen surface that is completely flat.

For wireless connection to the projector there is also the Epson iProjection app, the app is easy to use and navigate with intuitive menu options that help bring iOS, Android, and Chromebook content to the big screen.

Solution: Replaced projector lamp and serviced projector

All projector lamps have a life span and at some point, in time the lamp will require replacement. What you don’t want to happen is to have the lamp give up the ghost at an inconvenient moment; and while things like this happen, there are ways you can mitigate the risk, for example, by regularly servicing the projector (we recommend yearly).
- Removed external cover & external air filters.
- Cleaned & removed all foreign particulars – internal & external filters
- Re-fitted external cover & filters.
- Cleaned external lens.
- Checked for dis-colourisation & dust particulars.
- Tested input signals and USB connectivity.
- Lamp life duration.
- Checked all external remote panels & controls (including battery state/condition).
- Re-align projector image with projected surface.
- Checked all connectors and cabling condition.
During the yearly service of this projector in your meeting room we can replace the old lamp which had little life left in it and service the projector to ensure maximum functionally, etc…

Installation of Cambridge Sound Management equipment to reduce the transfer of speech from one consultant room to another.

Installation of the Qt Pro system uniformly disperses the masking sound and eliminates unwanted speech overflowing into the adjacent consultant rooms or reception area.

The pre-tuned masking sound is emitted through four sequenced channels that eliminate acoustic interference. Additionally, the system delivers more energy in the octave bands that are related to speech, resulting in a more energy efficient system that successfully masks speech at lower volume levels.

Golf Club Audio Visual Upgrade

Problem: Issue with controlling the existing audio system and using a mobile projector for functions

Solution

Installation of an audio-visual system with a simple interface that did not require an AV technician to operate.
Audio:
The design of the new audio system was to simplify the interface between user and equipment being used, where with the existing analogue system there is full access to all settings which can in turn create issues, our solution to this was to install a digital audio solution which reduced this from occurring.
As there will be varying staff members using the system the main interface would be a single volume control panel, this will allow the users to select an individual inputs ex: Mic 1 and be able to increase or decrease the volume of that unit to the desire level, as well as the master volume of the entire system. In regards to the visual component of the installation we installed 1 x Screen Technics 120” 16:10 format ElectriCinema motorised screen (Image area: 1615 x 2585mm ) to be used in conjunction with 1 x Epson EB-2265U projector with a WUXGA Resolution (1920×1200 – HDMI) and 5500 lumen output.
As with the audio we have design the visual component on the same bases, with the installation of 1 x JED T460R controller which will allow via the pressing of one button the activation of the projector lifter, projector and screen, with the added ability of selecting the projector source input and volume. Turning off the system would be again via pressing of one button.
