    For this particular client in Brighton, a replacement throw projector was needed. Therefore taking into consideration existing infrastructure and inputs, a new high-powered Hitachi projector was installed that met the needs of the client and space it would reside in.

    Problem: Issue with the existing wireless microphone coverage and system constantly breaking down

    Location: Moorabbin, Melbourne, Victoria

    Solution

    Installation of a digital audio and wireless microphone antenna’s system with a simple interface that did not require an AV technician to operate.

    The design of the new audio system was to simplify the interface between user and equipment being used, where with the existing analogue system there is full access to all settings which can in turn create issues, our solution to this was to installed a digital audio solution which reduced this from occurring.
    As there will be varying staff members using the system the main interface would be a single volume control panel, this will allow the users to select an individual inputs ex: Mic 1 and be able to increase or decrease the volume of that unit to the desire level, as well as the master volume of the entire system.
    To overcome the current wireless microphone coverage issues we installed 1 x PAD70 powered antenna splitter in conjunction with 2 x Stage 100 handheld wireless microphones, this allowed the wireless microphones to operate in the varying rooms without the issue of the microphone constantly dropping out.     To provide maximum flexibility to all office staff to wirelessly post messages to the reception screen, an Air Server Wireless Universal Mirroring Receiver was installed to the rear of the new 65″ Samsung 24/7 screen. Office staff will now be able to use their own devices to mirror their display over the big screen and instantly update the notice board. With the air server providing cross-platform compatibility between Apple, Android and Windows devices, the system is easy to use.

    Installation of Peavey Digitool DSP, Sennheiser wireless microphones and antenna distribution.

    The client requested the installation of wireless microphones in multiple rooms, in addition to audio control. The installed system would need to be appropriate for various staff members to use and allow ease of use for everyone. The main interface would be a single volume control panel, this will allow users to select individual outputs and provide the ability to adjust the volume to the desired level. This interface would also provide the ability to control the master volume level.

    As wireless microphones work on a direct line of sight between the microphone/transmitter and the receiver we installed a Sennheiser ASA powered antenna splitter which provided overall wireless microphone coverage throughout the entire venue.

    The client requested to have their existing screen upgraded after 15 years of use. It was important that we ensured the replacement would be suitable for the existing AMX control system that was installed earlier, without having to re-program the system to ensure costs to the client were minimal.

    Screen Technics screens was elected the most suitable for the client due to the quality of components as well as the workmanship, which is expected to have a longer life span. It is important when considering replacement screens to take into account the required life span of the unit, which in this case was longer term.
